Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no advertising, no affiliate links, and nothing about you is sold or passed to any community.

Server logs

The web server records each request: IP address, page, time, referring page and browser type. They are kept to run the site and find faults, and are not shared.

Analytics

Google Analytics counts which pages are read and roughly where readers are, so effort goes to the pages people use. Google’s opt-out add-on or any tracker blocker turns it off, and the site works the same without it.

Your browser

One sessionStorage key, lcl_listFilters, holds the filters you last set on the list so that “Back to the list” returns you to them. It is deleted when the tab closes and never leaves your browser.

The contact form

What you send through the contact form reaches the two people who run the site, so they can reply. It is not added to any list and is never given to a community.

Money

The site carries no advertising, sponsored listings, referral arrangements or affiliate links, and no community pays to appear on it or to change what it shows.
